Magic Sign 6’6″ American Donte Gittens for 2017-18 Season
Manchester Magic have signed 6′ 6″ American Donte Gittens for the 2017-18 season.
The Franklin Pierce University guard is tipped to be a star on and off the floor for the team as head coach Paul Middleton looks to build on another successful campaign.
The Magic were crowned National League Division One Play-Off champions last season and successfully defended their National Trophy title.
Gittens, who turns 23 on 14th August, will join a squad that includes Lee Goldsbrough, Stefan Gill, Michael Anumba, Kayin Darbey, Ryan Lewis and Tyme Regent-Bascombe.
American Duane Morgan, who was voted MVP in Magic’s two final successes, will not be returning, while Simon Anumba looks destined for a move to Europe after playing a major role last season.

Silver for Magic’s Kaiyem Cleary And The GB U18 Squad At European Championships
Magic’s Kaiyem Cleary was selected in the final 12 of the GB Under 18 Mens squad for the FIBA Under 18 Mens European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, where the team claimed the silver medal in the final after going down to Croatia in overtime.

Manchester Magic and Manchester Mystics are looking for a professional and passionate individual to join their coaching team on a nine-month contract from mid-September.
The successful applicant will be chiefly responsible for working on the EABL and WEABL programmes at Loreto but will also be part of the club’s highly successful and respected National League and Community set-ups.
The Magic and Mystics have gained a reputation for producing an almost endless stream of talented players over the past two decades, many of whom have gone on to win international recognition and/or enjoy successful college careers in the United States.
We want to build on this amazing work and would like to hear from coaches who believe they can enhance what we do and help even more boys and girls fulfil their basketball potential.

3 Magic Players Selected For Deng Top 50 Camp
Magic’s Michael Anumba, Arinze Emeka-Anyakwo and Josh Pearce are among the Top 50 played in Country invited to attend the Deng Camp in Crystal Palace on 23rd – 26th August. Full list here: http://dengcamp.com/news/top-50-list-2017-camp

DENGTOP50 is a 4-day residential camp that will invite 50 of the nation’s brightest talents to put their abilities to the test in a bid to be ranked the UK’s #1.
Each of the 50 players are hand-selected by a consortium of coaches and basketball affiliates all over the UK where they will undergo a series of individual drills, combine testing, classroom analysis, strength and conditioning training and competitive games.
Manchester Magic 2017-18 Season Tickets On Sale
Manchester Magic are delighted to announce that fans can now get their hands on 2017-18 season tickets at fantastic prices.
Children will pay less than £2 for each of Magic’s 13 home games in NBL Division 1 if they sign up, while adults will pay just over £4.
If you’re a family of five, you will pay £10 to see each Division 1 game at the Amaechi Basketball Centre.
Plus we’ve introduced a new season ticket for an adult and child, costing just £75, which works out at less than £6 a game.

Season ticket holders will also get half price entry to all other home games, including National Cup and National Trophy.
The Magic won 12 of their 13 home contests in the league last season as they successfully defended their Division 1 Play-Off crown.
Playing a brand of tough and exciting basketball under head coach Paul Middleton, they also held on to their National Trophy title as they added yet more silverware to their collection.
Paul is busy building a squad of players he hopes can challenge again next season.
We’ll be making squad announcements as and when they happen.

Adult: £55 (saving of £10, less than £5 a game)
Child: £25 (saving of £7.50, less than £2 a game)
NEW Adult and Child: £75 (Less than £6 a game)
Students and Concessions: £25 (saving of £7.50, less than £2 per game)
Family: £130 (2 adults and up to 3 kids, saving £32.50, £10 a game)
The vast majority of home league games will be on Saturday evening at 6:30pm at the Amaechi Basketball Centre.

Mystics Looking For Volunteer Coaches To Join Their National League Programme
Manchester Mystics are on the lookout for volunteer coaches to join their successful junior National League programme.
They need passionate and dedicated individuals whose motivation is helping players develop and succeed, both on and off the court.
Based at the Amaechi Basketball Centre in Whalley Range, the Mystics have a track record of nurturing some of the best young talent in the country and run sides at Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 level.
They have recently created a second team to compete at Under 16 level in the 2017/18 season.
