The Weekend Wrap
Manchester Magic lost 97-62 at Reading Rockets on Sunday Evening.
There were no LiveStats available during the game, so we have no information on how the players did during the game.
Up next the Magic is a home game against Team Newcastle University on Saturday 17th February at 6:30pm.
The WBBL had a weekend off this weekend as Great Britain’s Women took to the floor in the EuroBasket Qualifiers, with Mystics’ Dominique Allen and Georgia Jones in action against Portugal on Saturday evening.
Great Britain won the game 64-56, with Georgia playing 26 minutes, 3 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Dominique Allen did not play.
Great Britain now face Israel on Wednesday at 6:30pm in the EuorBasket 2019 Qualifiers.
The next game for the Mystics will be on Saturday 17th February against Team Northumbria at 4:00pm at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
Magic 2 Seniors beat Myerscough College 2 59-54.
Magic U18 beat fellow National Cup Finalists Charnwood College Riders 86-84 after double overtime; they met again in two weeks time to contest the Cup Final.
Mystics U18 lost 78-56 at City of Sheffield Hatters on Saturday; their game on Sunday against Charnwood College Riders was called off.
Magic U16 saw off Newcastle Eagles for the second time this season with a comfortable 98-46 victory on the road.
Mystics 2 U16 lost 62-73 to Derby Trailblazers. Mystics 2 U14 lost 58-34 to Lancashire Spinners.
Magic U14 beat fellow title challengers City of Birmingham 75-65 on the road to take the advantage for top spot in the Premier North, although they sit in second with a game in hand (due to points awarded for losses). Magic 2 U14 beat Lancashire Spinners 79-56 at home and Magic 3 U14 beat Cheshire Wire White 60-37 at home.

We’re looking for teams to join our Monday night Adult leagues and Friday night leagues.
Our Monday adult leagues, which restarted on Monday 18th September after the summer break. It costs just £24 per team per game and you’ll be playing at the fantastic Amaechi Basketball Centre in Whalley Range. If you’d like to enter a team or want to know more, contact league organiser Jane Thomas-Johnson on 07968 077138.
We’re looking for junior teams – boys and girls – to join our Friday Night Leagues at the Amaechi Basketball Centre.
We are running 4 leagues in total: A Foundation League for mixed abilities (Approximate age range: 8-12). A Development League; (Age range: 9-13); A Premier League for players just below National League standard (Age range: 12-15); and a College League (Age range: 14-17).
