The Maggie Forber Tournament
The Maggie Forber Invitational Basketball Tournament 2018
Saturday 30th June – Sunday 1st July
Venue: Manchester Basketball Centre, Wilbraham Road, Manchester, M16 8GW
Format: 7 teams, 1 pool of 4 and 1 pool of 3, 4×7-minute quarters
Pool A: Mystics 2, Sheffield Hatters, Myerscough
Pool B: Mystics 1, Sevenoaks Suns, Southend Swifts, Vixens (Ireland).
Please note that the top two teams in Pool A and Pool B will move forward to the semi-finals on Sunday. The teams finishing 3rd in Pool A and 3rd and 4th in Pool B will play a round robin schedule on Sunday to decide who finishes 5th, 6th and 7th.

Fancy Joining Our Community Leagues?
We’re looking for teams to join our Monday night Adult leagues and Friday night leagues.
Our Monday adult leagues, which restarted on Monday 18th September after the summer break. It costs just £24 per team per game and you’ll be playing at the fantastic Manchester Basketball Centre in Whalley Range. If you’d like to enter a team or want to know more, contact league organiser Jane Thomas-Johnson on 07968 077138.
We’re looking for junior teams – boys and girls – to join our Friday Night Leagues at the Manchester Basketball Centre.
We are running 4 leagues in total: A Foundation League for mixed abilities (Approximate age range: 8-12). A Development League; (Age range: 9-13); A Premier League for players just below National League standard (Age range: 12-15); and a College League (Age range: 14-17).

For Saturday morning primary sessions: Groups are not meant to be a rigid division of school Years, just a guideline. Just get there and enjoy yourself!
For Tiny Tots sessions we say 3-5 year olds, however, it is up to the parent’s understanding of their child as to whether they feel the child can cope with the session.
Please note: Due to the Maggie Forber Invitational Basketball Tournament there will be no sessions on Saturday (30th June), sessions return next week
Walking Basketball at Manchester Basketball Centre
Sundays 7:00pm – 8:30pm £3
Walking Basketball delivers a walking paced version of the fast and furious game we are all used to.
Walking Basketball is suitable for all irrespective of gender, age, size, ability and/or impairment.
