Aussie racer Rory Schlein’s return to King’s Lynn has been confirmed after compatriot Troy Batchelor inadvertently broke the news on Twitter.
Schlein was due to be unveiled by the Stars this evening, but they had to rush the announcement forward after Batch mentioned his new team mate’s deal in a tweet about his own return after a 10-year absence.
“Rory is one of those riders who can make a big difference on the track, and a massive difference in the pits.”

He tweeted: “Looking forward to it. 10 year anniversary. I’m getting old. Looking forward to giving @RorySchlein3 some stick!”
Schlein has become a fans favourite at the Norfolk Arena since joining in 2013. He ended last season on the sidelines after suffering a serious back injury in Poland, but team manager Rob Lyon tipped him to bounce back in style.
He said: “It’s great to have Rory in the team again. He is a big part of the club and still has a lot to give. Although Rory is coming back from a big injury, talking to him, he’s confident in being able to get back to the form that he showed earlier this year.
“Rory is one of those riders who can make a big difference on the track, and a massive difference in the pits. We are delighted to have him back with us.
“We hadn’t planned to announce Rory until later today, but it looks like our new signing, Troy, couldn’t hide his excitement at being in the same team and wanted his Twitter followers to know last night.”
