A new trail running adventure awaits on the island of Taiwan, as Xtrail Kenting by UTMB® makes its debut on the UTMB® World Series stage from March 6-8, 2026. Set in Kenting, Hengchun Township, the event will take runners deep into the spectacular landscapes of the Hengchun Peninsula, where tropical coastline meets lush mountain terrain.
With four race distances on offer – 100K, 50K, 25K and 10K – runners will explore one of the island’s most ecologically diverse and visually striking regions as they enjoy access to the protected treasure of Kenting Park.
Race Director, Yi Lin CHUNG, said “The race leads participants deep into the untamed wilderness of the Hengchun Peninsula. As they traverse this rugged terrain, runners feel the raw vitality of the tropical landscape. Beginning at the seaside and climbing into the mountains, the course unveils the peninsula’s lesser-known side. The route connects Kenting’s iconic beaches with sweeping grasslands, dense forests, rolling hills, river valleys, stony riverbeds, and natural gorges formed by coral limestone – an unparalleled trail experience.”
Florian Lamblin, Executive Director, UTMB International said: “Bringing a new event in Asia marks a meaningful step in the growth of the UTMB World Series. This region is home to a vibrant and fast-growing trail running community, and we’re excited to offer runners a new opportunity to experience the UTMB adventure closer to home. We’ve found in the local team passionate organizers who share our values of authenticity, respect for nature, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional runner experience.”
