To mark the celebration of Estrella Galicia’s 120th anniversary, one of the company’s leading ambassadors for its alcohol-free range, MotoGP rider Marc Márquez, sported a special commemorative helmet design during the Czech Grand Prix, which began on Friday 19 June (19.06) — an emblematic date for the Galician family-owned brewery. The design was inspired by the company’s iconic star symbol and one of its most distinctive hallmarks: the Sargadelos ceramic beer taps.
1906 was the year in which José María Rivera Corral founded the first La Estrella de Galicia brewery, thus beginning a story of passion for and respect towards the brewing craft that, 120 years later, has evolved into a distinctive and successful business venture, both in Spain and internationally.
The six points of the symbolic star represent the three fundamental stages of the brewing process (malting, brewing and fermentation) and the three essential elements involved in them: air, water and fire.
