We’re delighted to have been appointed, along with Point Communications, to deliver all communications and marketing for the Boxing Road to Tokyo Olympic Qualifying at London’s Copper Box Arena on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which takes place from 14-24 March 2020
We’ll be working together to develop and implement a communications and marketing strategy for the event which is the biggest Olympic boxing competition to be held in England since the 2012 Olympic Games. We’ll be responsible for marketing and ticketing, and the development and delivery of a marketing campaign to drive ticket sales and ensure a packed stadium.
77 places at Tokyo 2020 are up-for-grabs at the event which will feature more than 350 boxers from over 50 countries. The event is being delivered on behalf of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) by a local organising committee (LOC) made-up of representatives from UK Sport, The Mayor of London, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the British Olympic Association and GB Boxing.
The European Boxing qualifier adds to a growing portfolio of events for us. In 2019 we delivered marketing communications for the IPC World Para Swimming Championships, Harlequins’ Women’s Game Changer event and the LEN European Short Course Swim Championships in Glasgow. In 2020 along with the European Boxing Qualifier, Promote will also be supporting the FINA World Diving Series, the London Landmarks Half Marathon and The Game Changer 2020 event for Harlequins.
Boxing Road to Tokyo in London is an IOC event which is supported by funding from the National Lottery and The Mayor of London and will be delivered in association with a range of partners including UK Sport, GB Boxing, the British Olympic Association (BOA) and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
