TEAM LINE-UP
The Classic Var will be a new event for everyone this year, and it has all the ingredients for a thrilling race, with a very rolling first few kilometres, a winding descent and an explosive finish on Mont Faron. At the start, David Gaudu, Lenny Martinez and Romain Grégoire will be present, and they will obviously be labelled favourites, but we mustn’t forget that they are in the early stages of their recovery and that during this period in February the difference is made by the pace of the competition. On the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes, we’ll have to race intelligently and fairly, at the risk of losing the general classification. The course isn’t very hard, but we’ll have to look for opportunities to win bonifications without wasting our strength
