Third seeds Juan Lebrón and Leandro Augsburger took top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia to three sets in Sunday’s Premier Padel Milan P1 final before losing out as Ariana Sánchez Fallada and Andrea Ustero Prieto wrapped up their fifth 2026 women’s title. Here is all you need to know:
– Lebrón and Augsburger were only contesting their fourth 2026 final, but showed no stage fright as they claimed the first set 6-4. The world’s best pair, though, regrouped to take the next two sets 6-3 6-2 for their 12th title of an emphatic 2026 season.
– Coello, 24, said: “It’s a very, very difficult game. They’re a great team. They fought incredibly hard and played at an incredible level at the beginning of the first set and during part of the second. Today, we were lucky in the end and played an incredible final set.”
– The men’s event saw fifth seeds Martín Di Nenno and Francisco Navarro dumped out in the Round of 16 with the top four seeds finding nobody in the way of their march towards Saturday’s semi-finals.
– Coello and Tapia made light work of fourth seeds Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-4 6-3, Lebrón and Augsburger on the wrong end of a 6-0 bagel set to begin their last-four clash against second seeds Alejandro Galán and Fede Chingotto before they reset themselves to race through the next two sets 6-2 6-2.
