With only two weeks to go before the first stage of the Golden Trail World Series, we finally have the list of elite athletes registered for the 2024 season – and what a list it is! It’s fair to say that the level for the 2024 season is nothing short of exceptional and has hit a record high: 929 ITRA points for the men and 791.1 for the women (the top 10 average).
Never before has the circuit seen so many top-level athletes!
“It’s simple, if we read the list of this season’s entrants, practically everyone is present,” confirms Grégory Vollet, Director of the Golden Trail Series.
Because if the 2024 Golden Trail World Series essentially includes trail running specialists, it also draws the biggest names from other disciplines such as mountain running.
“It proves that the Golden Trail Series attracts the world’s best athletes who want to come together to compete in events that are unique in the world,” continues Grégory Vollet.
929 ITRA points for the men and 791.1 for the women This means that the top 10 have reached never-before-seen ITRA scores for a trail running circuit. For the men, the average top 10 score is 929 ITRA points, and for the women it is 791.1 points.
Even more impressive is the density revealed by the top 30: 912.1 points for the men and 768.4 points for the women, and the presence of 22 male athletes with a score above 900 points; this is a first time ever! The 2024 season once again promises to be mind-blowing! See you on 20th April in Japan for the Kobe Trail, the first race of the season.
